Dr Valerie Mason-John M.A aka Vimalasara was awarded an honorary doctorate of letters for their lifetime achievements in 2007.

Valerie was invited by Gabor Maté and Sat Dharam Kaur to be one of the founding facilitators of Compassionate Inquiry, a therapeutic modality to help transform Trauma.
Gabor Maté also wrote the foreword to their award winning book Eight Step Recovery, Using The Buddha’s Teachings to Overcome addiction, and quoted Valerie in their most recent book a Myth of Normal.
